The Manager, New Business Development will generate new accounts while managing existing clients. Our business spans the consumer landscape, including healthcare, food & beverage, beauty & fitness and pet-care, as well as issues & advocacy work for associations, non-profits and public sector agencies. The Manager, New Business Development will help expand our presence within our current client base and leverage our growing portfolio of successful projects, secure new contacts through lead generation, cold calling, Internet research, canvassing territories, and other tools that build new relationships. Candidate should be innovative and proactive in developing strategies for expanding business and proposing solutions that are the perfect match between the client’s needs and our capabilities. In addition to working as a team with ZCOMM staffers to strategically target new and expanded business opportunities, candidate must be a pro at writing proposals, developing presentations, and facilitating face-to-face meetings with clients.

Requirements • 4-7 years new business experience with PR or PR-related Agency, or Association. • Ability to build a book of business through implementation of inside and outside sales tactics and manage all aspects of business cycle, from prospecting to closing. • Strong cold calling background. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent time management and task management abilities. • Strong leadership skills. • Ability to proactively consult with clients on effective marketing techniques. • Public Relations services and product marketing or marketing communications experience required. • Proficient with online sales/database tools and utilizing social media as a sales tool. • College degree. Some travel required.
